What is the Best Way to Care for Your Towels?

Even the best towels need proper care to stay luxurious. Follow these tips:
1

Use the Right Amount of Detergent

Using too much detergent can leave residue, making towels less soft and potentially smelly.
Stick to the recommended amount or slightly less.

2

Combat Hard Water Build-Up

Minerals in hard water can stiffen and damage fibers. A couple of times a year, add ¼ to ½ cup
of white vinegar to a wash cycle (without detergent) to remove buildup. This will keep towels
absorbent and feeling great.

3

Avoid Fabric Softeners

Fabric softeners coat fibers with oils that reduce absorbency and encourage bacteria growth. If
you’ve used fabric softeners in the past, strip the oils by washing with vinegar once or twice,
then continue with regular detergent.

4

Wash on Cold & Hang Dry When Possible

High heat can shrink and damage cotton. Wash towels in cold water and hang dry to preserve
their quality. If you prefer using a dryer, choose a low-heat setting like “Cotton” or “Delicate.”
